Oh, Eros

Oh, Eros, your love is water,

River that flows, calm rain's daughter.

Oh, Eros, your passion is relentless magma,

Boiling deep within my soul's endless fire.

ree

In your bones, I’ve built my home,

My safe harbor, where embers roam.

You are the flame that warms my night,

Your arms my bed in winter’s cold bite.

You are a contradiction true,

Serene as summer skies in view.

But your heart beats wild and free,

A deep abyss, vast as the sea.

I fall, I fall into your tides,

Helpless as your waves collide.

Swimming's useless, I drown in your eyes,

And rise for air, but breath denies.

Save me from this relentless sea,

This tidal wave that swallows me.

I beg you for one last kiss in life,

For loss’s pain is the sharpest knife.

In your blood, I slide, I flow,

Against fate’s pull, no faith can show.

You may pray, call, seek the divine,

But even God doubts love’s grand design.

And even in the halls of hell,

I know you’ll adorn me with your spell.

They say love is blind, but I contend,

It can be all things, but it sure will end.

So, on this endless path of adoration,

I give to you, Eros, my heart's pure dedication.

And in your carnal hold, know it’s true,

That it’s forever, until it’s not, for me and you.
